My Review:

My Rating: 4 Stars

This is unique and intriguing paranormal romance, about a couple with a connection so heated, it “burns” the pages 😉 It is a story about love, redemption, and second chances.

Liv is trapped, debilitated by what she believes to be a crippling mental illness. What she doesn’t realize is that she is actually a powerful empath, one of a long line of supernatural royalty thought to be extinct… until now. Enter the incredibly sexy Justice, who must protect her from the Spirit Stalker that threatens her life. Their chemistry is nearly immediate…

“His Caribbean blue eyes are acutely curious, glittery, and wondrous, and it feels like I am drowning in his gaze. He stares back at me, as if soaking up every inch. I can’t help but gawk. I’ve never seen anyone so divine.”

Justice is a hero any girl would fall for, and Liv included. He is beautiful, strong, sexy, and protective. But he is also damaged, haunted by a past he is reminded of every single day.

As Liv struggles with her new life and new identity, she slowly begins to gain control over her powers, and with that her life. With a satisfyingly slow build, Justice and Liv’s relationship deepens, tinged with intense longing and desire, often complicated and tumultuous, but ultimately warm satisfying. I couldn’t help but root for this couple with a very uncertain future, who offer each other a very real chance at healing and love.

Despite a few editing issues this is a solid first book in a series: it has an engaging paranormal aspect, an interesting cast of paranormal characters, and plenty of action and suspense. Though it has a defined ending, it is clear that there is much more to this story. I am eager to see where Justice and Liv’s relationship takes them, as well as the opportunity to delve deeper in to a supernatural world that we have only scratched the surface of.

“Forget denying love, I can never deny myself of him. From the moment I laid eyes on him, I was his. He consumes every part of me, and I surrender, knowing full well all I need is to simply love him, no matter what.”

Book #2 in the Vis Vires Trilogy, Gravitational Pull:

Touch me, and bring me to life…

How do you move on when you don’t even know where you were going in the first place?

The Spirit Stalker is dead and I have finally started to erect my life. But I quickly discover, that just because the structure is built doesn’t mean the foundation is sturdy. As much as I try to manage my abilities, I can’t completely control them. The physical impossibility of the relationship I have with Justice has reached a boiling point; our fundamental problem, my inability to control myself from absorbing his power, and his fear of touching me because of it.

As if that wasn’t deal-breaker enough, a new threat looms on my horizon – Darklings. They are grim reapers of the immortal world who surface every five-hundred-years to feed off the souls of magical beings who are weak, aimless, lost; those who have given up and want to move on.

They also hunt power. Which means, they’re hunting me.

Abandoned by the one person I need the most, I find myself in Melenia’s realm. There, I’m courted by Siberian, a dangerous pixie who covets me, hunted by Death personified; all the while hiding my powers and my ancient bloodline. The pixie prince is alluring, and I feel so broken and vulnerable. I know giving in to him means giving myself over to him. But right now, I don’t care. All I want is to feel anything other than the loss and rejection Justice left me with. Anything other than pain.

So what do I do when I’m scared to be touched, even though I know it’s the only way to bring my soul back to life?

Intriguing in the premise of a heroine who believes she suffers from mental illness. I wonder if I’m an empathy at times. I adore books of connection amidst less than perfect pasts. FEEL is on my TBR list and I’m so pleased to have stopped by and discovered this tasty tease. Good luck on your release and writing.
